Just one number above or below these precise numerical values, would utterly corrupt and distort this perfect picture. God’s way really is perfect. As the Psalmist says:

Psalms 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven …

A more detailed explanation of the diagram above is as follows: The sum of Greek letter values in John 1:1 is precisely 3627 and the sum of Hebrew letter values in Genesis 1:1 is precisely 2701. At the top of the chart is the representation of Genesis 1:1 made up of 2701 small squares. A perfect triangle is formed with sides of equal length – each side consisting of 73 small squares. It is remarkable that the number 73 is also the numerical value of the Hebrew word for ‘wisdom’. Wisdom, therefore, is fundamental to God’s spiritual and physical creation of the world, and the triangle of Genesis 1:1 represents God’s creation, founded and established by His wisdom. Our triune God is interested in such triangular numbers. 

Underneath this triangle (of Genesis 1:1) sits the plinth of John 1:1. This plinth, in a darker colour and is made up of 3627 small squares – the precise numerical value of the Greek letters in John 1:1. It was the Word who was in the beginning, being God, and without the Word nothing was made that was made:

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. He was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

The Apostle Paul teaches the Colossian Church that Jesus is before all things and that in Him all things consist:

Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Given that the Word is before creation, it is entirely logical that John 1:1 supports Genesis 1:1 as seen in this mathematically visual way. The word ‘logical’ has been carefully chosen, because the Greek word for ‘Word’ in John 1:1 is transliterated ‘Logos’ and is the derivative of our English word ‘logic’. God is logical.

The 112th Prime Number is ‘613’ 

Creation is prime. It is what happened first! The English word ‘prime’ is derived from the Latin word ‘primus’ which means ‘first’ and, as it happens, there is a significant mathematical prime number cryptically embedded in this visual depiction of these two creation verses which relates to the Hebrew Law (Torah).

The overall triangle of Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 has equal sides of 112 units. The diagram is to scale so you can count the squares to check, by zooming in! Why is this important? Well, the 112th prime number in mathematics is ‘613’ – the number of commandments in the Hebrew Law (Torah).

God is teaching (those who are examining these ‘prime’ verses of Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1) that His Law is perfect (as seen by the perfect geometry).

Also, the visual supporting role of the plinth of John 1:1 is a subtle inference to God’s Son (who was the Word and in Whom all things consist) fulfilling the Law. The Old Testament consists of 39 books and the 39 rows (in height) of the John 1:1 supporting plinth, speak of Jesus completely fulfilling the Hebrew Law contained in the 39 books of the Old Testament.

Matthew 5:17 “[Jesus said] do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfil.”

6000 Bible Years Of Physical Death For Believers And Water To Wine

Consider the pattern of creation days given in the first chapters of Genesis (when God created the heavens and the earth) as a template of all of time. Remember that with the Lord, a ‘day’ and a ‘thousand years’ are interchangeable:

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

This seven-day pattern is intriguing, especially given that ‘time’ itself was part of God’s creation. As such, ‘time’ in the Bible may be segregated by six working days (6000 Bible Years) for God, followed by one day of God’s rest (the 1000 Bible Years of the Millennial Kingdom).

The conclusion of God’s working week on the sixth day is important because this is when Adam was created (see Genesis 1:26-31). Projecting this to the ‘higher’ week where a day is a thousand years, the creation of Adam in perfection (before Adam’s fall) is symbolic of the conclusion of the first resurrection when after 6000 years of God’s work, all believers (from the previous 6000 years) are also made perfect when they are raised to physical life in their immortal and incorruptible resurrection bodies.

Now, here’s the thing, the first sign miracle of Jesus when He changed water to wine, subtly alludes to this ‘time’ projection of God’s work because the number of stone water pots in the miracle is six, and the original Greek of John’s Gospel, describing these stone water pots has a numerical value of ‘613’  – the number of commandments in the Hebrew Law (Torah) which holds believing humanity in physical death for 6000 Bible Years.

Remember, that despite the Law being perfect and now fulfilled by Jesus around 2000 years ago, the Law still kills us physically. Even though believers are spiritually ‘born again’ and spiritually alive, it is the Hebrew Law (Torah) which keeps humanity in physical death: 

Romans 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.

2 Corinthians 3:6 … not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Only at the 6000 years, at the conclusion of the first resurrection, is physical death resolved for believers. 

So, this first sign miracle (of water to quality wine) poignantly depicts the work of Messiah’s Blood as perfectly fulfilling the Hebrew Law (Torah) as a ‘better’ covenant (Hebrews 8:6). And, after God’s six days of work, all believers will fully realise the benefit of Jesus’ victory over physical death by way of resurrection life – just before the seventh and final day of rest of the Millennial Kingdom.

This triangle of Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 therefore represents the whole of creation subject to the Law (the grip of physical death) until the end of God’s working week and the beginning of His seventh day’s rest of the Millennial Kingdom. Think of the triangle as representing the Hebrew Law (Torah) symbolically spread across the first 6000 Bible Years of creation concluding at the end of day six until the full benefits of the fulfilled Law (resurrection life) are experienced by all believers.

As an aside, this is one of the deeper reasons why Moses was not allowed to enter the promised land. He represented the Law – being its recipient – and death had no typological place in the promised land. Moses’ death at 120 years of age (in perfect health – see Deuteronomy 34:7) represents the death of the effect of the Law at 120 Jubilees which is precisely 6000 Bible Years in length.

When Jesus and the Godhead were choosing Jesus’ first sign miracle, clearly a Hebrew wedding (being seven days in length – see Genesis 29:27 and Judges 14:17) and with miraculously produced new quality wine (being served towards the end of the wedding – possibly day six?) was an excellent fit and a very suitable ‘time’ context to symbolically frame these truths.

The Sign Miracles of John’s Gospel In The ‘Higher’ Week

This truth that the Hebrew Law (Torah) holds humanity in physical death for 6000 Bible Years in the time pattern of the ‘higher’ week is very important. It places a biblical time limit on the duration of physical death for believers. This premise of the ‘higher’ week frames the conclusion of the first resurrection (when physical death is resolved for all believers) as just before the seventh and final day of rest of the Millennial Kingdom and is an excellent fit with biblical dispensational truth.

As such the discovery of the number ‘613’ in the first sign miracle of Jesus, when He converted water to quality wine, towards the end of a seven-day wedding cannot be overlooked. This ‘613’ is not found randomly placed, rather is embedded in the original 12 Greek words which describe the stone water pots used to contain water according to the manner of purification of the Jews – an elegant symbolic representation of the Hebrew Law (Torah).

Given that the Hebrew Law (Torah) is found represented in the first sign miracle of Jesus, is Jesus placing the sign miracles as having a symbolic fulfilment in the ‘higher’ week? After all, these incredible miracles of Jesus (recorded in John’s Gospel) are all designated as ‘signs’. 

The replacement of water to wine (in the six stone water pots) literally brought joy near the end of the seven days at the wedding in Cana, just as the conclusion of the first resurrection will bring joy and life to all believers at the end of 6000 Bible Years! A compelling association.

John 2:11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
