The name of the Apostle John (the author of John’s Gospel) is found in various places in the New Testament. The spelling below is taken from his mention in Acts 8:14 which reads:

Acts: 8:14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
