It appears that the Jubilee of Leviticus 25:10 is outside of time. This makes sense because the spiritual liberty, wholeness and restoration, typified by Jubilee, is sourced from eternity which is beyond time and space. In this way this 50th year of Jubilee, as being beyond the seven Sabbaths, is not reckoned in our physical time because the source of physical and spiritual liberty is beyond our time-space world. This is the spiritual truth of Jubilee. It represents a meeting point of eternity with the Sabbaths.
When time is considered in the Bible, the number ‘seven’ comes into full focus. The Lord intended for humanity to view the seven days of creation as nothing less than the complete chronological framework for all time. The Apostle Peter understood that a day for the Lord is as a thousand years (2 Peter 3:8,9), and in this way, these seven days of creation typify a constraint upon time, as being within 7000 bible years. In this respect, the separation of biblical time into ‘sevens’ counterpoints anything, beyond a seven or a forty-nine (which is seven sevens, 7 x 7 = 49) such as Jubilee, as being beyond or outside of time.
